We are professionals from various fields who dedicate time and resources to serve the Cherkasy community. The club unites like-minded people who share a common goal: to do good, help people, share their experience and constantly develop.

Rotary Clubs are known for their long-term programs. In the world it is "End Polio Now". In our club, this is the "Let's stop tuberculosis together" project. You can familiarize yourself with all our projects and programs here.

We meet every Monday at 18:00 at the Club meeting, and we also visit friendly clubs in Ukraine and abroad.

Areas of activity NGO "Rotary"

  • The Speak Together project

The Speak Together project was founded at the beginning of the pandemic to help children from Ukraine and the US communicate through learning and teaching spoken English. This project not only helps children and teenagers improve their English, but also unites them in a global community, giving them a unique opportunity to learn more about each other's culture, traditions and daily life.

  • Art Promotion "Sunflowers of Ukraine"

A series of art exhibitions for the benefit of Ukraine were held in the cities of California, organized as part of the Speak Together project, by local residents, and Rotary Clubs of Santa Rosa.

All proceeds go to hospitals in Cherkassy, located 190 km southeast of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and smaller medical facilities in the area, as well as humanitarian efforts to feed, clothe and shelter war victims.

  • Let's Save Children's Hearts Together

Together with our partner club from Germany, RC Konstanz-Rheintor, we provided surgical assistance to 29 children from single-parent and low-income families. The initiative was started by our Rotarian Leonid Lashchenko. The total cost of the program was 785,000 euros.

Since 1995, more than 420 Ukrainians have received consultations from German doctors, including Frank Hoffmann and Thomas Seiler from Konstanz.
